Sex abuse and the Catholic Church.

That these sex abuse tragedies are a horror for the catholic church is evident. But these horrors must be absorbed by us and taken in prayer to the wounds of Christ. that Satan has unleashed his hounds of hell through the Ignorant and or hateful is also a given. That the Church has begun a defense so as to put perspective is both right and just. That the Church has had to install programs to protect the children from this present darkness is Good. But the one element that is lacking is the ax of apostolic authority laying the ax to the root of the problem.
If any one makes one of these little ones to stumble it would be better if they would tie a millstone around there neck and drown themselves. now lets pray that this apostolic authority separates the wheat from the chaff. IT IS VERY OBVIOUS WITH POPE BENEDICT THIS PROCESS HAS BEGUN.

One other Word remains to be said however. The office of divine mercy has been given to the Church and as another brother has pointed out, these priestly offenders are not beyond the pale of repentance,healing and restoration. not to there former office, but as sinners in need of redemption. For us not to embrace this truth is to leave us open to reap the whirlwind of his judgment for us to. the our father says, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
